My name is Nick.
I am an educator.
I used to teach third grade. I dabbled in fifth grade for a bit. Then I became an tech coach for a school district. Now I am an instructional technology coordinator at a county office of education.
Over the years I have learned that there is nothing more powerful than when students (and their teachers) look forward to coming to school. Look forward to learning. Look forward to making friends and building relationships that will last long after the school year ends.
That bring us here. Joyful Classroom Collective. This is a place for us to explore what a joyful classroom looks like, sounds like, feels like.
Teaching is an incredibly personal craft. This is a space to demystify how educators find joy in their work in the face of the sometime daunting challenges that await us in our classrooms. We will explore classroom design, music, pedagogy, classroom management, books, and more.
It's going to be awesome.
Welcome to the collective.
